Who we are
Patita de Gallo Foundation is a Dutch foundation established to support people in vulnerable or disadvantaged circumstances and to promote equal opportunities.
The foundation operates on a non-profit basis and intends to pursue its objectives entirely or almost entirely for the public benefit.
Our mission
To sustainably promote equal opportunities, wellbeing, education, health, self-reliance, social participation and sustainable development for people in vulnerable or disadvantaged circumstances, both in the Netherlands and internationally.
Our approach
We believe that sustainable development starts with people.
Rather than focusing only on short-term assistance, we aim to support initiatives that create opportunities for education, personal development, self-reliance and participation in society.
We work with local communities and suitable partner organisations wherever this can strengthen the effectiveness and sustainability of our activities.
What we do
The foundation may:

provide scholarships and educational assistance;

support schools and educational facilities;

provide educational materials and resources;

support children and young people in disadvantaged circumstances;

support social, health and community development projects;

support initiatives that promote self-reliance and economic opportunity;

provide financial or material assistance to suitable organisations and projects;

cooperate with Dutch and international organisations and local partners;

Where We Work
The foundation is based in the Netherlands and may operate internationally.
The key policy priority for 2027 is to develop collaboration between orphanages and similar institutions in and around Lima, on the one hand, and training institutes, on the other. The training institutes offer practical, short-term vocational courses that enable young people to develop concrete skills.
The foundation is not restricted to these areas. Future activities may be developed in other regions where there is a clear need and where suitable opportunities and partners are available.
